32 Boys Conference Championships
36 Girls Conference Championships
The 2012 campaign is not too far away. The boys and girls teams have each met a couple of times already. Check their News & Notes pages for further information. Winter training is underway. Kids are getting bigger, faster, and stronger in preparation for another exciting--and hopefully successful--season. Even our facilites have improved, as our track was resurfaced this past summer and looks great.
A few pieces of info for both veteran and new parents:
- Freshman and juniors must have had a physical in the past twelve months. Sophomores and seniors must have their alternate year card filled out as well. If your child has been in another sport during the current school year, you are all set. If not, TAKE CARE OF THIS NOW. Until this is done, your child is not allowed to participate in practices.
- The season schedules have now been finalized. Check out the Schedules page to see the rundown for the season.
- As you peruse the schedule, note that we will once again be hosting Sectionals this year. Plan now to attend.
- Veterans to track and field may also notice something different in our schedule this year. For the first time, we are hosting indoor meets at UW-Parkside. All athletes are expected to attend these two meets (over St. Patrick's weekend), as it serves as our fundraiser for the year.
- Speaking of fundraisers...Loaves and Fishes has been put on hiatus for 2012. If you have been saving things to donate to that, please consider donating them to the WELS Bargain Center on 76th and Greenfield. If you really want, bring them to WISCO, and Coach Schaper will personally tell Coach Gottschalk to drop them off for you.
- Clothing orders will be available around Valentine's Day. Orders will be due Leap Day (note that it is before the first practice).
- Finally...the Parent-Athlete-Coach Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 28th, at 6 p.m. It is especially important for new track parents and athletes to attend this 45-minute informational meeting.
